We, at Absolute Aluminum, would like to remind you that your StruXure Louvered Roof System (formerly Arcadia) was designed and engineered to be open during any high wind event. Please take a minute to see the steps that Absolute Aluminum recommends you take to ensure your adjustable roof will be around for many more years of enjoyment:
- Fully open your adjustable roof a minimum of 48 hours prior to a wind event that is expected to exceed 60 m.p.h. If you have a wind sensor installed, it should open automatically. However, if you are still at home, please open it manually to eliminate the dependency on technology and be fail safe.
- Please make sure the louvers are straight up and down in order to allow maximum air flow.
- Unplug the adjustable roof from the power source. This will ensure it stays in the open position during the wind event, as well as avoiding any possible electric surges through the system.
- If you have plans to leave town and there is a possible storm days away from Florida, we recommend following the above 3 steps prior to leaving as a precaution.
- If a storm has passed, please clear the louvers and the area around the system of any debris before plugging it back in.
