Fasteners
Choosing the correct fastener is a very important part of an aluminum project. Standard Zinc fasteners, although strong at installation will need to be replace in a few years. Consider using stainless steel fasteners in your project to avoid the extra cost of replacing all of the fasteners down the road.
Not all stainless steel fasteners are created equal!
Absolute Aluminum uses 18/8 stainless steel fasteners when a stainless package is selected. 18/8 stainless steel is more commonly known as 300 series stainless steel, which is more corrosion resistant than 400 series.
